Half and Half Cakes

These are the perfect cakes for joint celebrations, whether it's for twins' (like featured in the picture opposite) or for a birthday and anniversary that is being celebrated at the same time.

It doesn't matter if it's a whole cake with two very distinguishable halves, or a cake that we bake, cut in half and then decorate as two separate cakes. As long as it is on only the one board, we class it as a half and half cake.

The beauty with these is that you can have all of the likes, interests and favourite things of each person on either side of the cake. On the other hand, you may decide to add something that reflects the differing occasions instead.

Because of the detail that is generally included on a half and half cake, the smallest size that we suggest is an 8", with the largest size available being a 12". This can either be a round or a square cake. It is not to say that we cannot create a 6" half and half cake, but the level of detail that we can get on there might be much less, and for stability, we would not recommend a 6" cake to be cut in half and decorated as 2 separate cakes, but instead, kept as a whole.

Prices for a half and half cake start at £85 for an 8", but as with all of our bespoke offerings, it is all dependant on the level of design and the details to be included on the cake.

Where possible, we will provide you with two quotes. One being with bought items supplied for your cake and the other with all the items being handmade by ourselves. The significant difference between these is that handmade items are designed edible whenever possible. They are also designed as a perfect size and fit for your cake. This way everything on your cake has been made especially, creating a unique design for you. Due to the level of time involved in making handmade items, the prices will be significantly higher for this option.
