Sugar Flowers

Our sugar flowers are made from high quality flower paste and are lovingly handmade to order.

Whether it's a small display as a gift, or a spray to go on a cake, we can provide what you require. Each flower, bud or leaf undergoes several steps in which to make them as lifelike as possible. A lot of time and effort goes into making them and because of this, they are not what you might call cheap or suitable for low cost cakes. But for cakes such as those for weddings or special celebrations, they are perfect and can help create a real show stopper cake.

Although they are made from sugar, they dry like porcelain, so are very fragile and delicate. The flowers themselves can be made to any colour theme but to obtain the best look for your display, we would recommend that you pick colours that are as near to the natural ones that you would have with the real thing. 

Each leaf and flower contains a wire, so along with the techniques used to soften the edges, it helps give the piece real fluid movement and realism. 

Because of the length of time a spray can take to produce, with all of the different stages, we would recommend a minimum order time of 6 weeks. This allows us sufficient time to produce them around our other orders too. 

The best way to store them after they have been removed from your cake with care, is to place them in a display case and out of direct sunlight and in a well ventilated room that is not prone to condensation. This will then ensure that they maintain their shape and colour for years to come. If required, we can source the acrylic display boxes for you, to ensure you have the correct size needed.

If you would like sugar flowers on your cakes but would like to keep it within a certain budget, we are able to purchase ready made sprays though these are limited in style, size and colour.
